Firstly, having read his newsletter this morning I want to extend a warm welcome to Anthony O’Gorman for joining me in the ‘market reality lounge’…have to say, it’s been pretty lonely in here of late…by contrast the ‘off with the pixies lounge’ has been lit.
I know I’ve been banging on about this for a while but the sooner the market realises where it is, the more transactions will occur. Spoiler alert, more transactions will lead to more confidence. If you have the time I would recommend a listen to Chris Kohler’s podcast ‘How we got here’ where he interviews his legendary father (Alan) about the dynamics of the Australian property market, some great content and insights in there.
You really have to laugh in this business, never a dull moment. This week we pitched on a house and lost it because the other agent had promised over a million dollars higher with their appraisal. One can only assume that as part of their styling they will be adding another storey and a swimming pool…
A final word, on behalf of myself and the team I wanted to pay our respects to John Candy who was a giant of the Mosman Community. We were all very fond of John who was a true gentleman and I know that he will be sadly missed by many, our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones at this time.
