Grass Is Greener.

Firstly, I apologise in advance. I’m writing this short missive on my way to an auction in a Land Cruiser that I may have to abandon on the side of the road #fuelcrisis.

Despite the strange times we are living in, I promised a dear friend this morning that this week’s note would be light and optimistic, so here goes.

C’mon, it’s not all bad, even though it feels like the simulation has entered chaos mode there is much to be grateful for, especially down here. Challenging times in Australia are still better than any times in most parts of the world.

The market has become very volatile, but properties are selling. Today the team had 5 sales and whilst a couple fell a touch short they were still respectable results.

Enter the Elephant.

Judging by some of the responses I’ve received when voicing my personal opinions about Donald Trump I’ve learnt to keep my political views to myself. One comment I will make is DJT has to be the greatest escape artist known to man and right now that guy is on stage, upside down in a chained glass case full of water. Would it surprise me if this whole thing turns around in a few weeks? Maybe not…

In times of uncertainty wisdom is the greatest remedy so this week I’m going to quote my ever-wise and beautiful wife.

‘The grass is greener where you water it’.

Until next week,

David Murphy
